Careers Education and Guidance prepares young people for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult and working life. It equips them with the knowledge, skills and attitudes for managing their lifelong progress in learning and work.
All students will receive Careers Education from a specialist Careers Teacher during each of their five years at Trinity.
During Years10 & 11 all students receive an individual guidance interview from a specialist adviser. There will also be an organised visit to a Careers Exhibition.
Work Experience - All students, at the end of Year 10, have a two-week work experience placement. This is intended to be a general introduction to the world of work, not training for a future career. Pupils have the choice of either finding their own work placement or selecting one from the school list.
The school list of placements is available for pupils and parents to view via the following Internet site www.veryan.org/best - (password: trinity Pin No: 9559). Pupils will then need to see Mr. Hulbert to book one of these places. |
Mock Interviews - During Year 11 all students will have a trial interview with a real employer. This is a realistic and valuable experience. It is excellent preparation for future employment.
