Courses

At KS3 Design Technology is taught on a carousel system of 6 weeks per subject. Each year from Y7 to Y9 Students will experience modules in Food, Textiles, Product design, Electronics, Systems and Graphics. This is repeated each year with a  change in the emphasis from design for yourself in year 7 to design for a client in year 8 and finally designing for a consumer base in year 9.  At the end of year 9 students opt to continue studying one of these areas at GCSE level.

Homework

Homework is set as per the student homework timetable. It can consist of either reflective evaluation, design development, product research or revision for informal test.
