Learning Outcomes - All students should be able to:

  • recognise features of some genres e.g. fairytales= once upon a time
  • create detail by adding relevant adjectives to a sentence
  • recognise some conventions in creating suspense e.g. short sentences
  • extend vocabulary by using a thesaurus
  • give views on the writers’ purpose/inclusion of themes
