Year Seven students study French or Spanish for half the year and then switch to the other language. At the end of Year Seven we give students let students opt for the language they would like to continue studying.

There are numerous trips to France organised each year to either northern France or Paris.

Students study AQA GCSE French Specification A.

Students are assessed on their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. Each skill represents 25% of the final grade. Writing is assessed through coursework, the remainding skills by examination at the end of Year 11.
