Latest News: Year 7 Boys' Football

Tuesday saw our year 7 football team host a spirited University Academy side, travelling from the Wirral, in a 5th round English Schools tie.

Trinity have done fantastically well to reach this stage of the prestigous competition, with round 1 including well over 600 schools vying for the title of "best school team in the country".

Trinity took the lead thanks to 2 powerful strikes from the dependable Festus Arthur and an unfortunate own goal, to go into half time 3-1 up. After creating chance upon chance, with the midlfield running tirelessly, Univeristy Academy managed to claw their way back into the game to level it up at 3 a piece.

Trinity, once again, showed their character and determination to pick themselves back up and win the game late on with 2 more strikes from Festus, thanks to some great service from the wide areas.

This puts trinity into the last 32 of the competition, a massive achievement in itself.
