
The principal aim of Religious Education at Trinity C E High School is to affirm, encourage and challenge students on their spiritual journey. RE is studied by all students at both Key Stages 3 and 4.
At key stage 4 students follow the Edexcel GCSE course - Syllabus A, Religious Studies. This is a modular course consisting of two modules. Students study the first module during Year 10 and sit the GCSE exam in May or June at the end of that year. They then study the second module in Year 11 and sit that exam at the end of that year.
The Year 10 module, Unit A, is 'Religion and Life' based on a study of Christianity and Islam.
The Year 11 module, Unit H, is 'Religion and Society' based on a study of Christianity and Islam
Homework is set on a regular basis in accordance with the school's homework timetable. Homework may take a variety of forms, including written tasks, revision, interviews, research, reading etc.
