Welcome to the Key Stage 4 Science homepage.
In Year 10 all students follow GCSE core Science. Students are taught in sets according to ability. Students in sets 1, 2 and 3 are taught Science in separate Biology, Chemistry and Physics groups by specialists. At the end of Year 10 students will have completed the work for the award of one complete GCSE.
In Year 11 students follow either GCSE Additional Science or GCSE Applied Science. Students studying Additional Science are taught in sets by specialists in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Students studying Additional Applied Science are taught in mixed ability groups by a single teacher who facilitates the production of their portfolio work.
