“To provide a Christian environment in which young people are safe,
secure, cared for and happy, and are able to develop into articulate,
confident and well qualified citizens of the world.”

No, we’ve not won the European Champions League, but congratulations to nine of our students who took part in the 3v3 UEFA football competition. The Trinity boys took on opponents from other Manchester schools and one of our teams, consisting of Tashan Lawrence, Patrick Walsh and Alex Clarke, received trophies. Well done to all the boys involved!
Well done, also, to Kieran McCaffrey, 11DE, for achieving the silver standard of the D of E. The award was presented to Kieran at Manchester Town Hall.

Last Wednesday, ten Y7 students took part in the first Manchester Cheerleading Competition at Wright Robinson Sports College. In the previous four weeks the girls had managed to develop their own Trinity team chant and group dance. The competition was open for girls in Y7-9. Our Y7 girls were up against tough opposition from Cedar Mount, Wright Robinson, Chorlton, Manchester Academy and Whalley Range. The girls performed extremely well against a lot of older girls and brought the school a lot of credit, especially as this was their first attempt.
Connie Lane, Y9, has received fifty citizenship merits and has achieved her ‘Silver Star’. Thelma Antwi-Boasiako, also Y9, has achieved the ‘Bronze Star’ by gaining twenty five merits. Well done to both girls.
Following a number of successful performances, Trinity's soul band are hosting a fundraising evening on 20th June at Chorlton Irish Club in aid of Christie's Hospital. With two bands and guest soloists performing a mix of soul, rhythm and blues, funk and disco, you will be guaranteed a full night of entertainment for a great cause. Tickets for the event are priced at £6.00 (£5.00 concessions) and are available from Mr Bowden.
