Students benefit from our exceptionally strong provision in sport, music and drama. Our diverse programme of extra curricular activities, both at lunchtime and after school, enables all our students to explore and develop new interests.

Music has a range of choirs, orchestras and other instrumental groups to suit varying tastes. Dance, drama and other creative activities are encouraged with high quality dramatic productions taking place each year. Past productions have included Arabian Nights, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Treasure Island.

The extent of our sports facilities ensures that a wide range of activities can be pursued including athletics, basketball, cricket, football, hockey, netball, rounders, rugby, swimming, table tennis and trampolining.

Our creative writers’ group is thriving as well as particular interest groups such as microelectronics, gardening, sewing and chess. We have had great success in debating recently, with the Prime Minister recognising the success of our ‘talented young people’.
