The PE Department makes a significant contribution to the ethos and aims of the school through its provision of a comprehensive and meaningful extra-curricular programme.  As the school day comes to a close the PE department is a hive of activity providing further learning experiences for our students outside the classroom.  During 2018-2019 we have competed in over 285 competitions in a 12 different sports. On our busiest evenings we have had 6 different teams going out on fixtures.  So it really is a big team effort to get everyone organised and out playing.

Extra-curricular activity is perceived as both an opportunity to pursue and enhance skills and interests fostered during the curriculum and an avenue through which students can develop new interests and abilities.

The Department, with some assistance from other colleagues, currently organises a wide range of competitive and non-competitive clubs, teams and activities including:

Athletics                      Football

Basketball                   Handball

Cricket                         Netball

Cross-Country             Rounders

Badminton                  Table-Tennis

Rugby                         Dodgeball

Fitness Suite                Dance
